Fond du Lac Area Basketball League Code of Conduct

This is the official Fond du Lac Area Basketball League Code of Conduct that Kewaskum Youth Basketball adheres to and expects their coaches, players, and spectators to along with the KYB Code of Conduct.

The Philosophy Behind the Code of Conduct

The Saturday morning basketball games offered by the FDL AREA Basketball League are based on fun and participation. We realize there is a competitive situation when two teams are playing each other, but winning is not our primary goal. We expect coaches, spectators and team members to participate with this philosophy in mind.
Please Note: Coach, player or parent misconduct will not be tolerated.

Code of Conduct

All Parents, Spectators and Players and Coaches are expected to abide by the following Code of Conduct:
  • Display good sportsmanship at all times.
  • Treat all players, coaches and officials with respect.
  • Treat other teams’ facilities with respect.
  • Cheer for good play by both your team and your opponents.
  • Do not encourage behavior or practices that would endanger the health and well-being of the participants involved.
  • Learn the rules and respect the policies of the League.
  • Support decisions made by officials , and understand that officiating is not an easy task, and that they will make mistakes as well as everyone else involved.
  • Game officials’ decisions will be final, and results will not be subject to appeal.
  • Refrain from making negative comments towards players, coaches or officials.
Any of the following committed by a teams Coaches, Players or Spectators, may result in an ejection and/or forfeiture for the offending team.
  • Aggressive behavior or physical acts towards the other teams coaches, players or spectators.
  • Aggressive behavior or physical acts towards an official.
  • Use of profanity or inappropriate language.
